 The yellow paths through the park are all streets, but you need a permit to drive on them. Most of the other paths are footpaths, unsuitable for vehicles. It is ILLEGAL for a cab to take you to the wedding. They need a permit to drive into the park, and the venue only gave us a half-dozen permits for wedding vendors and disabled people. Follow the directions given for "By Uber or Taxi" below to take a cab to the closest point at the edge of the park and walk 3 minutes to the venue. | By Uber or Taxi If you can walk down stairs, tell the driver to go to 5th St & Prospect Park West, Brooklyn and then follow these directions for a 3-minute walk into the park to the Picnic House. |

You will need a vehicle permit to drive in the park, get one in advance from Brittney, the wedding planner, at brittney@blbevents.com. |
| By Subway or Bus The closest subway stop is the 7th Avenue stop on the F/G lines. Take the subway there and follow these directions to walk 15 minutes from the subway stop to the Picnic House. There have been some outages on the F line lately: be prepared to go to Grand Army Plaza, a bit further away, if the F line is out. The next closest subway stop is the Grand Army Plaza stop on the 2/3 lines. Take the subway there and follow these directions to walk 20 minutes from the subway stop to the Picnic House. You can use the MTA Public Transport Trip Planner to plan a subway or bus trip. Note that it does Not know where the "Picnic House" is, and if you ask for "Prospect Park" it will send you to a distant, obscure corner of the very large park. We recommend asking it for directions to "5th St & Prospect Park West, Brooklyn". |
| Driving Use the Google Map. The closest commercial parking garage to the Picnic House is an 18 minute walk away, at 906 Union St. You can phone ahead at 718-622-4867 and see if they're full. They don't take reservations. Once you park there, follow these directions to the Picnic House, or catch a cab or Uber. If that garage is full, there are other garages on the Google Map only slightly further. If you're adventurous and feeling lucky, drive to 5th St and Prospect Park West. There is a parking lot there, but it's nearly always full, and spots on streets close to the park are full of cars parked by people going to the park. Expect to take at least half an hour to find a parking space, then follow these directions from 5th St and Prospect Park West to the Picnic House. |
